Blogger Gadgets

Adding Blogger's Gadgets is a way to add some fun and character to your blog.  With over hundreds of different types of gadgets, they include games, quotes, polls and pictures.  The benefit of adding a gadget is it makes your blog interesting and more interactive.  You can add a gadget to your blog by first going to design and then layout.  On layout there will be a link that says "Add a Gadget" and when you click on that it will bring you to a full page of gadgets.  On the side tab you will click "More Gadgets" and it will locate you to the various types of gadgets you can add to personalize you page!  I added three different gadgets:  Psalms for the Day, Education Quotes, and Seasonal Foods.  The Psalms for the day has a bible quote with a picture at the top of my page, the Education Quotes has an inspirational quote to the side of my blog, and under that I have the Seasonal Foods which informs you on what types of food are in season.  Adding gadgets can spice up your page and it allows you to add your own personal touch!

Symbaloo

Symbaloo is a bookmarking website that makes it easy for you and your friends to access websites by linking the websites to icons and putting them all on one page!  By placing all the links in one spot makes it easier and quicker to visit your favorite websites.  Also, Symbaloo allows you to search for other peoples webmixes (or a group of their favorite websites) and download theirs onto your page! There is also a button that allows you to share your Symbaloo page so other people can look at your favorite browsers.  Some of the benefits of Symbaloo is that it makes it much quicker and easier to find your favorite websites.  Another benefit is that other people can check out all your interests and Symbaloo allows you to share hobbies/interests with other people!

Voki

Voki is a free internet tool that enables you to create an avatar of yourself or anything you choose and the avatar will also talk.  You can create the character as anything you would like including animals, famous people, and they also have holiday icons and emojis.  Another creative part about this website is that you can add your own voice the the avatar and you can make it say whatever you want but, the message must be less than 90 seconds long.  To apply this Voki to a website you can easily save it, copy the html code, and paste the code onto the website.  The Voki website is a fun, easy way to communicate with your friends while also adding your own personal touch to the avatar to make it your own!

How I Use the Web

I spend a decent amount of time on the internet.  Most of the time I use it for homework, like Google or the app My Big Campus.  I also use it for recreational purposes too, for example, I like to online shop on site like Amazon or E-Bay.  Another site I commonly use is the social media app called Twitter where you can share your thoughts with friends, family, or anybody else that follows you.

*Google- The search engine, Google, is easy and very handy to use.  It allows you to type in any word and it will lead you to many links and sites that are related to the word.  It can quickly lead you to any website you need to find or any question you have.  Visit google here!

*My Big Campus- This app allows you to send in homework to teachers online.  It is helpful because it keeps any assignments in one spot so its easy to keep track of.  With a click of a button you can receive or hand in any assignments.  Visit My Big Campus here!
